Welcome to Sonnora
We have been practicing the ancient art of preparing food since 1910. In Munich, the raw materials for the bakery and confectionery trade were produced under the Hermann Jung brand. Our ice cream specialties were repeatedly awarded the Golden Prize of the DLG. Located in the middle of the land of Swabian inventors and machine designers, the development of a soft ice cream maker was not long in coming. In 1963, company founder Walter Tacke laid the foundation stone for the Sonnora ice cream sales system with the entry in the commercial register in Tübingen – the combination of the finest ice-cream raw materials with the best engineering technology.
At the beginning of the 1970s, the Sonnora ice cream mix followed almost at the same time, initially packaged in sterile cans and the first self-service ice machine. Since then, our products have undergone continuous development under strict quality control and have proven themselves in practice for years.
